How to License Music with HFA

1. Licensing Cover Songs (Fewer than 2,500 Units)

If you're looking to license cover songs in limited quantities, you can obtain mechanical licenses through HFA’s Songfile®.

To register:

• Visit www.songfile.com
• Click "REGISTER NOW" to create your account
  
  Note: Songfile licenses must be pre-paid at the time of purchase.

2. Licensing Over 2,500 Units

If you're licensing more than 2,500 units of a musical work, you’ll need to create an HFA Licensing account.

To get started:

• Visit https://www.harryfox.com/#/setup-hfa-portal
• Once your account is created, you’ll receive instructions to begin licensing through the eMechanical application.
  
  Note: eMechanical licenses require quarterly royalty reporting and payments. Instructions will be provided after account setup.
