How do I update or correct a Songfile license?

Once a Songfile license has been issued, no changes or updates can be made to the information on that license.

Important Notes:

• HFA cannot provide guidance on whether a license needs to be changed or updated.
• If you are unsure, we recommend contacting your duplicator or distributor to confirm whether changes are necessary.

To correct information on a Songfile license:

1. Repurchase the corrected license through Songfile.
2. Complete the Songfile Void Form [hyperlink form] and be sure to include the following:

• The old license and order number
• The new license and order number

HFA will void the original license(s) and issue a refund for the original order, minus processing fees.

Note: Refunds cannot be issued for licenses that are more than 60 days old.
