How many units should I order?

Mechanical licenses are issued at the song level. Mechanical royalties are paid, per the license, on the total number of units manufactured, regardless of whether the song was sold as a single or as part of an album.

Please consider both album sales and single sales when estimating the number of units you plan to sell. A mechanical license obtained via Songfile is limited to a specific number of units. Any manufacture above the number of units in the license will require an additional license for those additional units.
