How Do I Submit a Bunch of Songs at Once to HFA?

The best way to submit 50 or more song titles into our database is through our eSong Bulk application. Follow the steps below to access and use it:

How to Access eSong Bulk?

Select "eSong" under the "Asset Management" section on the home screen of your HFA Portal account.

• Click the "Submit Bulk File" tab.
• Click "NEW ESONG TEMPLATE" to download the Excel template.

   eSongBulk Template Instructions:

• Mandatory fields: Fill out columns A, E, K, L, and P.
• Splits must be in number format and must not exceed 100.
• Each writer should have their own line. The song title should only be listed once.
• Use Arial 10 font throughout the file.
• Do not include song titles that begin with a number — these should be registered manually.
• Do not edit the template formatting (font, format, color, or cell structure). Any changes will result in a rejected file.
• Save the file as: [Your P#].xlsx

Uploading the File:

• Upload the completed Excel sheet in the "UPLOAD FILE" field.
• Attach your file.
• Select the file format: "Format V2 (new)".
• Click the blue "validate and review file" button.

• If the song data is correct, click "approve & update file" to finalize your eSong Bulk submission.
• Track the status of your submission under the "Song Submission History" tab.
