How to Submit or Updating a Song via eSong

Use the eSong tool in the HFA Portal to submit new works or update existing ones

Submitting or updating your song registrations through HFA’s eSong portal is a straightforward process designed to help you securely manage your musical works.

  1. Log into your HFA account at https://portal.harryfox.com.
  2. Under Navigation, click on "Asset Management". Then, click "eSong".
  3. Enter your song information.
    If registering new works, you only need to provide the following for each registration:
    1. Song title
    2. Writer’s first and last name
  4. Click "Search".
  5. Based on your search results:
    1. To submit a new work, click "Create New Song" at the bottom left of the page.
    2. To update an existing song code, click the pencil icon under the "Edit" column for the desired work.
  6. You’ll be prompted to add the following:
    1. HFA publisher name and/or HFA P#
    2. Ownership share
      (Do not include the "%" symbol; enter numbers only. For example, 100% should be entered as 100.)
    3. Optional: ISRC and other general song details (highly recommended)

Once submitted, your request will be processed. Please allow 4–6 weeks for eSong submissions to be completed.

You will be returned to the "Song Submission History" tab, which shows a list of all requests submitted through eSong, along with their statuses. Click on any request number to view its full details.
