New Publisher Affiliates Checklist

Congratulations on affiliating with HFA!

This article will walk you through the next steps for setting up your HFA account.

Step 1:  Complete Notice of Appointment

Click here to complete our Notice of Appointment of The Harry Fox Agency LLC as Administrator form. 

Step 2: Log into the HFA Portal

You can access your account at https://portal.harryfox.com/home. Enter your email address and click the blue “First Time Here” button to register your email address. Once you have registered, you can log in using your newly created password. For best results, please use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

Step 3: Enter Your Payment & Tax Information

Please click HERE and select the "Payment & Taxes" tab to complete our online payment and tax onboarding. Please note, royalty payments will be held until this step is completed.

Step 4: Register Your Songs!

If you do not register your songs, licenses cannot be issued on your behalf, and your account cannot generate any royalties. Register songs through our tool, eSong, located under the “Asset Management” menu in the HFA Portal.

If you have more than 50 songs, click the ‘Submit Bulk File’ tab to download a new eSong template. When registering songs, it’s important to –

· Include ISRCs and artist information!!!! These unique sound recording identifiers help us match your compositions.

· Include your IPI/CAE number. This is especially important for international collection. An IPI number is an international identification number assigned to songwriters and publishers by their PRO organization (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, and other PROs). To find your IPI number, you will need to go to your PRO organization’s website and search for your name in their repertory database. Your IPI/CAE number is either nine or 11 digits (depending on the PRO). In the case your number is nine digits, please add two zeroes in front of the number when submitting in eSong.
