Why am I getting an error when trying to submit my tax information in the HFA Portal?

Individual vs Company 

If the recipient/payee is an individual, please fill out your first and last name in the information section on page 1. This name should match your W9 exactly, including capitalization and punctuation on page 4. If this fails validation from the IRS, please verify there are no additional spaces in the names so that it matches exactly. 

If the recipient/payee is a company, please choose Company on page 1. This company name should match your W9 exactly, including capitalization and punctuation on page 4. For the W9, please list the Company name on line 1 exactly how it was listed for “Company Name” in the information section on page 1, and exclude the contact name, leaving line 2 blank. If this fails validation from the IRS, please verify there are no additional spaces in the names so that it matches exactly.
